Hello, I’m Daniela

A very warm welcome

a qualified Psychotherapist (Prof. Dip Psy C. / Reg. NCPS) working with adults and teens through my bespoke private practice, empathco.

Every therapy is a new therapy. Rather than applying a one-size-fits-all approach, I work collaboratively with you to understand your unique needs and support you through your particular circumstances. This is called a pluralistic approach. I put the relationship first, drawing on person-centred, psychodynamic, and attachment-based methods, alongside creative approaches such as sand tray and imagery.

My practice specialises in two areas:

Women experiencing anxiety, life-change, or loss. I work with women navigating a wide range of experiences: from grief, menopause, and the emotional weight of children leaving home, to anxiety, depression, and low self-worth. My work with the UK's largest bereavement charity, has also given me a deep understanding of loss and transition in all their forms. Whatever you're carrying, the focus is the same: making sense of it together, and finding a way forward that feels like yours.

Teens navigating the challenges that come with growing up. Before retraining as a psychotherapist, I spent a decade in pastoral and academic leadership in schools. That experience gave me a clear understanding of the pressures young people face — anxiety, identity, social dynamics, loss of confidence, masking — as well as the family systems around them and the value of working alongside parents where appropriate.

Our Objective

Your experiences are unique to you. But you don't have to navigate them alone. I offer you a safe space in which to understand what you're going through. To find a way to continue living your life, self-aware and empowered.
